the pathology of unsustainable consumption

Subject: the human species has become a cancer upon the earth

Unrestrained consumption has placed the planet in peril
We are consuming ourselves into oblivion.

The cause of resource depletion, pollution, climate warming etc. is directly related to the number of people on earth who require the products that the earth can give .
Human population growth is the source of most of the problems we face.
Until such a time as man is intelligent enough to control his own birth rate the danger will continue to exist. This is a drastic measure which must be taken at some time. The sooner the better. If it is desired to keep all of the natural items intact birth control MUST be initiated for the human species. This is the only way that status quo can be achieved with the natural environment.
We must restrict the global population size to one that optimizes broad environmental and social options for everybody.

Our rate of consumption exceeds the planets carrying capacity.
The kind of world we pass on to our children depends on whether we are willing to change(reduce) our procreation and consumption habits.

The richest most industrialized nation (wch produces the most industrial emissions)also has the highest rate of consumption and is therefore most responsible for depletion of the planet's resources and destruction/poisoning of it's ecosystems.
Global industrialization is causing industrial emmissions to increase exponentially.

We must see through the myth that consumption and spending drive economic growth, creates prosperity and happiness. Consumption (and rampant growth)lays waste the earth !
We are consuming ourselves into oblivion!

  1. We are breeding ourselves into extinction!
We must curb our reproductive urge in order to get human population growth under control.
